This sundial "Swan" is one of the campaign "100 Swans for centenary of Latvia" environmental objects.

The Clock

The clock was given to the town by local entrepreneurs in 1999 and is situated in the very centre of Gulbene.

Spārīte and Emze Parks

In earlier times both parks had the same name – Mary’s Park which was created by Baron von Wolff and devoted to his beloved wife. The park was decorated with sculptural arrangements but nowadays there are several paths along ponds and islands which are suitable for walking and active recreation.

Castle Park

The wide landscape park opens the view on Love and Coffee hills, also on small ponds. Earlier the Castle Park was connected with the close-by Rudolf’s Park (named after the prematurely deceased baron Rudolf Wolf) with wood-engraved air bridge.

Latvian Ancient Sign Trail

Around the Sacred Lake in Spārītes Park, there are placed 18 Latvian signs and symbols with descriptions and illustrations. The path is facilitated with several benches for rest. An informative brochure with a map of the trail can be acquired in the tourism information centre, Ābeļu street 2.
